In Regimen, players are soldiers of the Malay Regiment tasked with defending Point 226 (Bukit Chandu) from the advancing Japanese Army.
Every turn, event cards are drawn to deploy enemy troops and move existing troops on the map. Players must work together to fend off the enemy; every successful battle won earns players Respect tokens. There are many ways to lose the battle but only one way to win: once a player has 5 Respect tokens, the game ends and the players are victorious!
