HBM83813 Leichter Panzerspahwagen Early 1/35 Scale Plastic Model Kit Hobby Boss Models
The Leichter Panzerspahwagen were a series of light four-wheel drive armoured cars produced by Nazi Germany from 1935 to 1944. The rear mounted engine was a 67 kW Horch 3.5 petrol engine, giving it a road speed of 80 km/h and a cross-country speed of 40 km/h. It had a maximum range of 300 km.
Used by the reconnaissance battalions ( Aufklarungs-Abteilung ) of the Panzer divisions, the type performed well enough in countries with good road networks, like those in Western Europe. The Sdkfz.221 was armed with a single 7.92mm Maschinengewehr 34 machine gun, manned by a two man crew, and had 4-wheel drive.
Kit features complete chassis frame, engine with drivetrain, excellent drivers and fighting compartment interiors, separately molded on-vehicle equipment, vinyl tires, detailed 2.8cm gun and photoetch parts (including turret and hull screens, registration plate mounts, mud flaps and more). Decals and color painting guide for a typical German vehicle. Includes dash panel with gauges, stencil data and registration plate markings.
Length: 134mm (5.27 inches)
Width: 57.2mm (2.25 inches)
Glue, assembly and paint required to complete
