Everywhere we look, there seems to be desparity abound and as we look for an outlet, it sometimes seems there is none. Going out on the town is always too expensive and the majority of Americans are looking for an affordable option to spend time with family and friends or just going solo.
The day of the internet brings the entire world to our fingertips and we don't even have to get out of our bed clothes. The time of high gas prices leave a vast majority of us at home when we factor in the cost of just getting there. I remember, as most of us do, when we would just hop into the car and get to where ever we wanted to go. Now days, the old cash register bells start to ring with just the thought of starting the engine. There is no more jumping in the car and going without a plan to accomplish as much as you can with that one trip, and if you are like me, it invariably is as much as a straight line from point A to point B as possible.
The time for value packed entertainment is upon us. It really is not so much of what is too expensive, it is more of a fact of what can I get the most of for my money in quality and quantity. It just doesn't end at entertainment, it falls into food, clothing, shelter, services and everything else we want to buy that is value packed and will get us what we need and bring the biggest bang for the buck.
Bringing value packed entertainment is what we do best in our store and our web sites. High quality hobbies and gaming is one of the smartest ways to value-full entertainment that we've found and is something that can be appreciatated by either sex and just about any age group.
Take for instance the gaming products we offer. There can be no better way to spend time with friends and / or family than to be deeply involved in a game of chess or old fashioned checkers. Of course, if you want to get into some real battle, there is a vast area of games that can be obtained for great prices that will yield weeks and months or, even years of fun. Take for instance Warmachine, a game of battle strategy that will take on new dimensions every time you start a new episode. Magic The Gathering has been going over a decade bringing good friends together over a few simple decks of cards. Another is Dungeons and Dragons, into it's thirtieth year of dominance into the scene of gothic battle of epic proportions; all on your table top. Axis and Allies, bring WWII back and fight to turn the tide of either side. You could rewrite history again and again.
Another important area that we specialize is Radio Control models, better known as RC. If you want your breath taken away with wild speed, stunts and durability, take on a hobby such as these. Built with the newest technology, todays RC models bring on more than you could ever have bargained for with built in value and outrageous fun. I wish I could name any one manufacturer or model that could be considered the best, but they all are. If any of the more famous model manufacturers did not perform extremely well, then they would not be in the business of making them as long as they have. We have quite a few husband and wife teams that hit the dirt and try and crush the other in a race or obstacle course just by trying to prove who is the better driver. Take to the skies with a beautiful airplane, either electric or gas, and dream of flying just like when you were a kid. From 8 to 80 and beyond, these high quality kits can fill the void that todays hard times have seem to bedrock in all or our households. They may seem expensive on the outside, but once you open them up and get them out there, you will simply be in total disbelief on their ability, durability and outright fun. A word of caution on RC if I may. There are a lot of no name brands out there and many are knock-offs of many originals. Be sure to buy a brand with a long lasting name attached to it and you will be sure to buy something of value and repairability. We only carry name brands and will not deceive you into a sub standard RC. Another point to keep in mind. Never, but never buy a new RC model from auction sites like the big one everyone seems to talk about. They are not warranteed by the manufacturers and you could loose out should a warrantee issue arise.
We understand that we all work extremely hard for our money and there never seems to be enough to go around. Buying the best and most value filled products are the best way to go in considering anything you buy. Entertainment dollars are hard to come by when even the electric bill almost makes us take out a loan. That is why it is more important than ever to take entertainment to the highest levels where everyone involved can have a good time with their respective investment. Considering many of the options I've recommended, there is a certain amount of guarantee that you will be more than entertained, but absolutely thrilled once you and yours get them in hand.
