Wondertrail features free gaming outlet.
As part of its official grand opening April 27, the Wondertrail gift, collectable,
hobby and gaming store invites people in the Mountain Home area to check out its
expanded gaming area for people of all interests and experience levels.
Located in the Stardust Plaza on North 3rd East Street, Wondertrail’s new location
allows its staff to offer four times the space for people interested in various
tabletop strategy games and collectable card games.
“We were very limited on what we could offer at our previous location. We had one
small ‘standing-room-only’ gaming room, which restricted us to one type of game at
any given time,” said Carl Latona, one of the store’s founding members. “Today, we
have four large gaming tables, allowing us to run at least four different styles of
games at the same time.”
Available as a free service, the store features regularly scheduled tournaments
during the week with open play available when tables are open.
“Our goal from the beginning was to create this gaming room to give people in town a
creative outlet to hone their skills, meet people with similar interests and just
have fun in a relaxed setting,” said Craig Higgins, the store’s other co-founder.
“From futuristic battlefields to mystical landscapes, we can offer something to
everyone.”
In addition to offering various strategy and collectible games, the store features a
full line of imported mythical figurines and statues, battery and gas powered remote
controlled vehicles and aircraft, and model railroad starter sets and accessories.
Celebrating its sixth year, Wondertrail opened in Mountain Home as the creation of
two best friends looking to offer people here unique and diversified items. They
based their original merchandise selection on their own likes and dislikes while
searching for new products and vendors. The store grew from offering a few hundred
products in its early days to more than 5,000 products. In fact, the store grew from
two friends to a two-family business
“We decided back in 2001 and still maintain the notion that by offering high quality
products for a simply reasonable price it was the best way to ensure our customers
have the greatest satisfaction with their purchases,” Higgins said. “We strive every
day to make sure that all of our products are priced right and bring maximum value
to our client base.”
The store opens from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday. For more information, call the Wondertrail staff at 587-9255.
